Boys Soccer - Finished their season in the first round of the state playoff. German Alvarado, Mitchell Burt, Carlos Guardado were named to Western Slope First Team. Angel Bernal and Justin Garces were named to the WSL honorable mention team.
Football - All conference selections - Kelton McPherson, Elliot Walz, Spencer Cloud, JP Simpson, Thorin Melby and Tucker Porter were named to the Western Slope 4A All Conference team. Sam Fitzwlliams, Garrett Dollahan, and Wheatly Nieslanik were named to the WSL honorable mention team. Kelton McPherson was selected to play in the 2020 Colorado State HS All-Star FB Game.
Volleyball - Finished the season as league champions with a record of 11-1 and an overall record of 20-5! All Conference - Kaitlyn Johnson, Emily Nilsson and Shanik Zambrano. Honorable Mention - Reece Goluba, Charlotte Olszewski and Kenzie Winder. Kaitlyn Johnson was named Player of the Year for the 4A WSL.
Cross Country - The girls team finished 10th at the state meet with Sophia Connerton and Ella Johnson qualifying for the race. Ella Johnson finished 4th overall and was named to the All State 4A team.
The boys team won the Basalt Invitational and finished in the top 10 in all of their races.
Wrestling - Wrestling at 138 lbs. Erik Krauth finished 4th in the regional tournament and qualified for the state tournament. Amos Wilson was regional champion at 182 lbs and qualified for the state tournament where he finished 3rd.
Skiing (Racing for Aspen HS) - Boys - state champions, Girls - state champions. (based on combination of alpine & nordic results) - GSHS athletes competing at state championships: Summer McSwain (GS & Slalom), Kailey Murphy (GS & Slalom), Cate Simpson (GS & Slalom), Matilda Barth (GS), Emma Barsness - 3rd place State Competition in Nordic Skate and 1st Team All-State (Nordic Classic & Skate), Elizabeth Barsness - 4th place State Competition in Nordic State and 2nd Team All-State (Nordic Classic & Skate), JP Simpson (GS & Slalom), Garrett Dollahan (GS).
Hockey: In their second year of CHSAA competition the team finished in third place in the Peak League and qualified for the state playoffs for the first time. The team won their first playoff game, beating Columbine 7-1.
Girls Basketball: Won the Western Slope League title with a league record of 12-0 and an overall record of 21-4. They qualified for the playoffs earning a first round bye. They won their second round game vs. Lewis-Palmer 42-29. Natalya Taylor, Gracie Dietrich, Qwynn Massie and Maddie Moser were named to the 4A WSL All Conference Team. Michelle Marshal was named to the Honorable Mention squad. Natalya Taylor was named the Player of the Year for the 4A WSL.
Boys Basketball: Won the Western Slope League title with a league record of 12-0 and an overall record of 22-4. The team qualified for the playoffs earning a first round bye. They won their second round game vs. Weld Central 55-30 and their third round game vs. Green Mountain 56-50. John Iuele, Mitchell Burt, Will Narvaez and Patrick Young were named to the 4A WSL All Conference Team. Adam Schrader was named to the Honorable Mention team. Mitchell Burt was named the Player of the Year for the 4A WSL.
Girls Swimming: Girls swim and dive placed second at Regionals, outscored by 10 points by a very strong Grand Junction High School team. Sr. Sally McDonnell (Eagle Valley High School) was voted Swimmer of the Year. Glenwood Coach, Steve Vanderhoof was voted coach of the year. The Lady Demons went on to the State 3A Championship meet, finishing in 6th place. The Lady Demon swimmers were led by Sophomore Amy Madsen with two top ten finishes and two top twenty finishes, SR. Molly Hancock - two top 20 finishes. Glenwood took four divers to the state meet, all finishing in the top 20. SR. Celia Scruton 14th place, SR. Juliet McGill 5th place, Jr. Libby Claassen 8th place, and Jr. Abby Scruton 3rd place. Abby Scruton and Juliet McGill received First Team All-State awards, while Libby Claassen was awarded a place on 2nd- All State Team.
Students who have signed to compete at the next level: Michelle Marshall - Grand Canyon University (rugby), Carlos Guardado (soccer), Celia Scruton - Evergreen State College (soccer), Kelton McPherson - Lake Forest College (football), Amos Wilson - Johnson and Wales University (wrestling), Kuba Bartnik - Adams State University (track), Lizi Barsness - St. Lawrence University (cross country skiing).
